I am Kansas City, MO native and am happily married to my beautiful wife and our four amazing sons. I am a Combat Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom. My honorable service of a total of ten years, eight years as a Combat Engineer and two years (dual MOS) as Field Artillery. I am currently employed as a Contracted Federal Security Officer under the Federal Protective Service of the Department of Homeland Security. With three years with the Jackson Count Missouri Department of Corrections and over years of licensed armed security in my previous employment, firearm knowledge and experience is not just a hobby, it’s also my way of life. I have a combined total of more than 20 years of firearms experience and more than 10 years of training experience.

I am a Certified Firearms Instructor and Duel State Concealed Carry Instructor for both Missouri and Kansas. Certified as the Basic Pistol Instructor, Basic Rifle Instructor, Basic Shotgun Instructor, Chief Range Safety Officer and Personal Protection in the Home through the National Rifle Association (NRA). And I attended the NRA’s Law Enforcement Handgun/ Shotgun instructor course but am unable to certify due to no company affiliation. Certified Basic Handgun, Concealed Carry Instructor and Training Counselor with the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA). Certified as a First Aid/ CPR/ AED Instructor with the American Red Cross. And, most recently, certified with Rangemaster as an Advanced Instructor Development level graduate.

I Joined the NAAGA organization in 2019 to seek a like-minded group of 2nd Amendment lovers and to dispel the myth of African American gun owners.  With the believe that I can reach students of all ages, genders, and experience levels to develop a better understanding of how to protect oneself while being a law biding citizen in our great nation.

I have been in love with firearms since a youth in the Boy Scouts of America where I first was able to shoot the .22lr rifle at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation. Still serving as an active volunteer with the BSA Heart of America Council holding positions such as local Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 1027 and Council Shooting Sports Committee.
